Athlete Su Nandar Win captured first gold medal for Myanmar in the 2019 Special Olympics World Games on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
She got the gold medal in 100m walk with a timing of 00:00:29.70 at Dubai Police Officers Club stadium.
The 2019 Special Olympics held from March 14-21 and over 7,000 athletes from 170 nations have participated. Myanmar is competing in three kinds of sports with nine athletes. They are Athletics, Bocce and Bowling.
Myanmar has won one gold, three silver and two bronze as of March 18.
