A group of cyclists has ridden to Chin State to raise awareness of environmental conservation.
The 11 riders, who were accompanied by their friends in cars, came from Kalay, Monywa, Shwebo and Yangon. They climbed Natma Mountain and visited Bontala Fall during their ride.
Cyclist Ko Nyein, from Kalay Township, said: “We have eight other people besides the cyclists. They travelled by car. Our purpose is to observe the region and raise awareness on environmental conservation.”
He added they would camp out on the mountain. The trip began on November 18 at Kalay.
Kun Kyaw from Monywa said: “Cycling is a way to protect the environment. The Natma Mountain is accessible with cars [but] climbing it on a bicycle is challenging. We will share our experiences after the trip.”
