Myanmar beat Cambodia 2-1 in football friendly

Myanma r defeated Cambodia in an international friendly match yesterday at the National Stadium in Phenom Penh, Cambodia. Myanmar started the match with goal keeper Kyaw Zin Htet, Zaw Min Tun, Win Min Htut, Captain Yan Aung Kyaw, Zin min Tun in the defense line, Hlaing Bo Bo, Aung Thu, Yan Naing Oo, Si Thu Aung in the middle line and Thet Naing and Kyaw Ko Ko in attacking service.
        Myanmar played in a stable, controlling style from the start and were able to disrupt the defence line of Cambodia frequently. Myanmar got the opening goal at the 15-minute mark when Zaw Min Tun was able to head the ball into the net from a free kick.
        The Cambodian team was better in the second half and dominated Myanmar with improved ball handling, which resulted in increased fan support defrom the hometown crowd. The new match tactics and more dominant playing style resulted in more scoring opportunities. Cambodia’s Prak Mony Udom scored the equaliser at the 50-minute mark with a close-range shot over Myanmar’s keeper Kyaw Zin Htet.
        But Aung Thu of Myanmar was able to score the winning goal with a pretty trick move on the Cambodian keeper that resulted in the ball slowly trickling into the net at the 71-minute mark. Last night’s win will give Myanmar much-needed confidence going into the AFC qualification match against India on 14 November.
