Over 8,000 faircost apartment units to be developed in Mandalay within three years

Manda lay Region Urban and Housing Development Department will develop 8600 faircost apartment units within three years commencing from next fiscal year 2017-2018.
       Currently, 560 units of Myayinandar fair-cost apartment developed by the above said apartment will be sold on 4th January through draw lots and there are over 7,000 applicants so far as of 30th December 2016.
       In a bid to fulfill the requirements of the applicants, the department will continue to develop more apartments depending on the department budget.
       The apartments will be sold in turn for those who do not won the draw lots, said U Aung Kyaw Oo, the director of the Urban and Housing Development Department.
       A total of 7,640 people consisting of 5,252 civil staff, 1,146 retired civil staff, 530 company staff and 712 low-income people applied to purchase the apartment units.
